I used to be unsure how to act around people with physical disabilities. The word Cerebral Palsy (CP) was foreign to me. I was never formally educated about disability, inclusion, and accessibility.

However, through interacting and creating relationships with people of all abilities, I grew to understand that people with disabilities are just like you and me. I also grew to understand that there is a lot of discrimination, unconscious bias, and inaccessible places for people with disabilities. As a part of my Gold Award project, I wanted to share what I learned with others.

I interviewed doctors, engineers, directors of nonprofits, and people with CP to learn more about the condition. I saved highlights from the interviews and created an educational video about disability, specifically CP. I encourage you to watch the video and share it with others. Together, we can change the perception of disability.
